Flights with 3 hotel nights start under $300 these days

Looking for deals this summer is honestly a lot of fun, partly because almost everywhere I look I’m finding a promotion that seems impossible, but it’s totally real. In this case, I’ve just discovered that Travelocity has a bunch of vacation packages that include RT flights and 3 nights at a nice hotel, starting at $299 each person: Flight+3 Night Hotel Vacations from $299

Actually, looking closely at this I’m seeing prices starting at $179 per person for a trip from San Francisco to San Diego. There are definitely a few taxes and fees not included in this price, but seriously, these prices are amazing this summer. The prices quoted are for off-day flights and the cheapest decent hotels in these cities, but if you are willing to pay just a bit more you can get something fantastic.

This summer is so weird that I think the travel business might even be worse off than they are saying. These kinds of deals would look really appealing in fall, when most people aren’t interested in traveling, so to see these in summer is crazy.
