Air France is trying to beat the economic crisis and always manages to come up with incredible offers for those who just cannot stay home. Whether you plan to fly to Africa, Asia, Caribbean, North and South America or Europe, they will have something to please you! All departures are from Dublin or Shannon. Air France special offers
Europe
Air France’s direct flights offers are from Dublin to Paris and London City. Fares start at €49 for a one way flight Dublin to London (discounted from €64). Or you can fly to other European cities via Paris. The return fare, including taxes, for a flight from Dublin to Rome (via Paris) starts at €280.
Asia
The airfare to Asian cities is heavily discounted but the discounted rates are valid until November 4, so make sure to book your flight soon! You can fly from Dublin or Shannon to Bangkok for only €726 (return fare). If Japan is on your mind, the return fare to Tokyo is €727.
Important: Do remember that all offers are from Dublin, so you first need to find a cheap flight to Dublin . And if you come from the States, you’ll find fares to Dublin affordable and the airport very easy to handle.
The alternatives
The major competitors for the short-haul European flights are the low-cost carriers, which offer excellent fares even for a last minute flight. If you want to fly Ryanair during the same period, the one way ticket from Dublin to Paris (a different airport though) is about the same (including all the taxes).
If, on the other hand, you plan to fly to the Asian cities mentioned above, there is the possibility to find a slightly cheaper fare (€681.28) but you’ll be making a stop along the way.
The conclusion
International airfare can be cheap or expensive, depending on how well you are timing your departure. If you don’t mind spending time in airports, sometimes the indirect flights can be cheaper than the direct (discounted) ones. If you prefer a certain airline (or have certain facilities when you fly with them), then it’s always nice to find such discounted fares. When you find a good deal, grab it! Carpe Diem!
