Last-minute flights can be crazy cheap

Expedia has nearly every type of travel available somewhere in their huge site, but I bet most of you haven’t seen this part: Last minute flight deals at Expedia.com

At the risk of spoiling the surprise when you click on it, this brings up a list of truly last-minute flight deals with specific dates to and from specific cities. Most of them are for flights leaving about a week from now, so you have to be ready to go soon. They really do have some fantastic deals, like Los Angeles to Honolulu for $299 roundtrip, although for that one you have to return only two days after you arrive.

Some of them are for trips as short as one day, but there is something exciting about that if you ask me. It’s like, let’s say there is someone in one of these cities who owes you money from way back. You could wait for that city to come up on the list at a time that works for you, then fly to that city and surprise them! You’ll ask for your money back, or you might just want to punch them in the face. It’s completely up to you, but now you’ve got a cheap and fast way to do it.
