Visit the Amazon that doesn’t sell books

mao_manaus_amazon_village_b.jpgThis one is for those of you who like a little adventure sprinkled in your travel coffee. TAM Brazilian Airlines is offering a deal on flights from Miami to Manaus this winter. Billed as the gateway to the Amazon, Manaus is a cosmopolitan city with 1.8 million inhabitants. In addition to being a hop, skip and a jump from the Amazon, the city is also located within spitting distance of Ponta Negra beach, a popular place for nightlife. Manaus might not be a household name in many houses, but by all accounts it has a lot to offer. Book your ticket now because the deal ends November 17, 2006.
