Car rentals now even cheaper than before

Most of the regular readers of this column know that I have mixed feelings about Priceline, but a deal’s a deal, so I feel compelled to point this one out: Save up to 30% on Rental Cars
Especially if you are visiting somewhere in the U.S. or Canada, you pretty much need a car, and driving your own wheels while on a vacation is for suckers. I sure as heck don’t want to rack up 2,000 miles on my own car in just a week or so, so paying to use someone else’s car that you can abuse is a great idea. And now you can do it for 30% less than you expected!
The last thing you want to do while on vacation is have to worry about every strange smell or knocking sound from your own car, especially if you are going a long way. Not only are these rental cars maintained regularly by qualified mechanics so they rarely have problems, but even if they do have problems it’s someone else’s responsibility. And if you are the type who prefers to buy the collision damage waiver, you can also drive at night with no lights on, or practice your high-speed cornering in a crowded city. Why not? With that waiver it’s like you are Superman, liability-wise.
