Coachella Festival Travel Deals

There are music and art festivals, and then there’s Coachella. Set in the desert of the Coachella Valley south of Palm Springs, California, this three-day event brings together several different genres of musical acts and countless fans to enjoy some southern California sun every April since 1993.
Not everyone who goes to Coachella is from southern California, obviously, and not everyone who travels to the festival is rolling in cash. So whether you’re planning to carpool, take a Greyhound bus, or fly to get to the festival, we’ve got some information that will help you get to Coachella without breaking the bank.

Since the Coachella Festival is in the middle of nowhere – kind of – the first order of business for people “not from around these parts” to figure out how to get there. There are several area airports you can choose from, but beyond that there are a couple options for ground transportation – whether it’s just from the airport to the festival or you’re trying to set up a carpool with other festival attendees.

As mentioned above, there are several airports within a reasonable driving distance to Coachella – especially if you’re making a road trip out of it with some friends. The closest airport to the festival is Palm Springs, but because it’s a relatively small airport you may find better deals at some of the bigger airports (like LA or Las Vegas).
