Summer may be the season most people look forward to for taking a trip, and there are all kinds of summer festivals that make summer trips extra special – but there are events and holidays in the fall, too, that make great excuses for traveling.
Here are some of the holidays, festivals, and events that happen in the fall that you might want to plan a trip around – and ways to help you save money doing that.
September Travel Deals
- Labor Day Travel Deals – It’s the unofficial end of summer, so a great opportunity for one last hurrah in the form of a long weekend.
- Bumbershoot Festival Travel Deals – Seattle’s top music and arts festival takes place over Labor Day weekend each year.
- Oktoberfest Travel Deals – Oktoberfest actually begins in September, and Munich isn’t the only place to go to party.
October Travel Deals
- Austin City Limits Festival Travel Deals – Austin in October might just feel like summer, which makes it another good reason to go to the ACL festival.
- Halloween Travel Deals – If you don’t need to be at home for Halloween, it’s a fun holiday to turn into a trip. Costume party in Vegas, anyone?
November Travel Deals
- Thanksgiving Travel Deals – These are the busiest days of the year at airports in the U.S., so it’s even more important to be on top of hunting down the deals.
