Adventure vacations on Expedia look intriguing

Jumpy carWhen I saw that Expedia was now promoting “Adventure vacations” I didn’t know what to expect, but the list is quite interesting and a bit surprising too: >Book your Adventure Travel on Expedia.com: Explore, discover and escape!

The thing they are advertising on the top of the Adventure page right now is the Ice Hotel in Quebec. It might be an “adventure” activity to build an ice hotel, but I’m not sure it qualifies as an adventure activity to sleep in one. Nevertheless, it’s an interesting thing to read about and think about, and there are plenty of legitimate options on that list too.

A friend of mine recently told me that he got a Chase TravelPlus Card so he’ll be able to just spend in the normal way and then be able to cash his credits in for an adventure vacation to Costa Rica, but he likes to zip-line and bungee jump and what have you, so that should be fun for him. I prefer the adventure of an ice hotel or perhaps that Ice Bar in Stockholm. How long can I stand it in there? One drink worth? Five drinks worth? It will be a test of my will versus the harsh surroundings and only time will tell who will come out on top.
