The change in airline ticket prices from year-to-year have been announced…and they’re not pretty.
An overall ranking from quarter-to-quarter has shown a 10% jump.
The most painful increases were felt by passengers in the Midwest/Atlantic sea board: Cincinnati (36%), Greensboro, Charleston, Raleigh/Durham and Savannah showed the largest increases.
There was some slightly good news for passengers originating in Honolulu – fares went down almost 5%. Denver and Kahului (Maui) also registered decreases.
On a largest scale – over the past ten years, Lihue (Kauai), Hawaii, Burbank, California; and Anchorage, Alaska have been the hardest hit with fare increases.
