Are you serious? $49 flights to Costa Rica from Miami?

costa-rica-beach.JPGAmerican Airlines is practically begging you to go to Central America. Whether it is motivated by the kindness of their heart or by profit motive or by competition, they are offering some outstanding deals on flights between Florida and Central America, as well as Florida and the Caribbean. How outstanding is outstanding?

Try $49 for a one-way ticket between Miami and San Juan, Costa Rica. That is pretty darned incredible even when you throw in all the taxes and fees. You can’t even fly from Miami to Atlanta for that price.

The same deal applies for flights to Aruba, Curacao, and Guatemala City among other places. For the best advice on where to go, what to see and where to stay while you are in Central America or the Caribbean, check out the BootsnAll travel guides.
