Beach Vacations are on sale

So far the winter weather hasn’t been too bad yet, or at least that’s what the rescuers who are trying to dig me out of this massive snowbank tell me. While my life hangs in the balance, I thought I’d share an interesting deal where Travelocity is offering - Leave Winter Behind: Beach Vacations from $484

When I read that low price I assumed they literally meant “beach vacations” as if you were expected to camp out on the beach somewhere, but no, these deals include airfare and 4 nights hotel. The least expensive option appears to be at the Bahia Mar Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale. It looks like a nice enough place, but I have to think visitors might be vulnerable to foreign attack there. If I were some evil madman and I wanted to invade the US you can bet I’d start by taking out one of its most famous forts, partly just out of symbolism.

They’ve also got kick-ass deals to Mexico and the Caribbean as well. One cheap one is to a place called Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta. I don’t speak Spanish at all, but something about that name makes me think it’s a party place.

These deals expire December 31. What are you waiting for?
