Couple BeachAirlines are always trying new ways to get fliers to take more trips more often. As the post-Christmas lull in North American travel approaches United Airlines is urging potential passengers to fly in pairs by offering 20% off their Winter Wonder fares for a companion ticket.

This is no help to me, but those of you lucky enough to have friends, loved-ones, or are even part of social-networking sites that can help you find someone to travel with you are in luck. Fares after the Holidays are usually the lowest of the year, except for those popular winter breaks like Hawaii and ski areas, so to get an extra 20% off is quite a coup, and of course that discount does apply to Hawaii and ski resorts as well.

You have to purchase your ticket by January 3, 2008 and complete your trip by May 31 for this deal, so this reward is for people who think in advance instead of people who wait until their tolerance of snow and slush is completely spent before they are motivated to get out of Dodge for a while. The good people at United Vacations have come to our rescue yet again.
