Fabulous fall specials in Hawaii

Last fall, I had the opportunity to sit down and interview a spokesman for Hawaiian Airlines, who let me in on all the greatest hints for finding the best deals to Hawaii. Keoni Wagner at Hawaii Airlines filled me in on not only the best times to find the best deals on cheap tickets to Hawaii, but also when you would be free from crowds of tourists and could find the best deals at the many resorts and hotels on the islands. Wagner also informed me that fall (a shoulder season) is a great time to find big discounts on everything in Hawaii, which probably explains why United is now offering $250 off on many of their Hawaii vacation packages. If you had already budgeted out money for a fall trip to Hawaii, big discounts at many Hawaiian resorts may mean you’ll be able to afford a lot nicer hotel accommodations for the same amount of money. In fact, the very nice Four Seasons resort at Manele Bay on Lanai is now offering discounted rates through December 18. Rates start at $295/night for a “superior room” (a basic hotel room without an ocean view). If that Hawaii hotel is still a little out of your league, there are plenty of other great Hawaii deals.

Because Hawaii has been especially hard hit by the recent economic downturn (many people see it as a “wasteful” destination during such hard economic times), there have been some killer deals at many of the hotels on all of the islands. According to an article from the Baltimore Sun on finding great fall hotel deals, the Aston Waikiki Beach resort is now offering three nights for the price of two starting at $310 for a 3-night stay.

The Starwood resorts in Hawaii is now also offering discounts this fall season at 10 Hawaii resorts. The Starwood “Value in Paradise” promotion is offering deep discounts on Hawaii hotels on Oahu, Kauai, and the Big Island. For example, the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa on the Big Island is offering up partial ocean-view rooms starting at just $129/night for stays through December 25.
