Get the best deal on international flights

Part of my job is to find the best travel deals I can and then write about them here, but this summer it’s been challenging. Hotel deals can be pretty good, but airfares are rough. Their motto at Vayama seems to be that they’ve solved international travel, and while I’m not sure if that’s true or not I can tell you that they do a really good job at finding the lowest airfares available at any given time. There’s something to be said for that, so even if they don’t completely solve international travel, we’ll give them props, which is short for proper credit if you didn’t grow up in the ‘hood like I did.

Finding cheap airline tickets to Europe has been a huge challenge this summer. You’d think with prices so high the airlines would have trouble filling the seats, but this year they are just canceling flights and even whole routes when that happens. Even if you pay a fortune for your plane ticket you can still get discount hotel reservations to make up for it a bit. The trip will still be more expensive than last year, but ‘staycations’ are for sissies, so don’t even think about spending your hard-earned vacation time putting in a new lawn or something.
