Half-price hotel rooms are no longer just a dream

I’ve done a ton of research on these travel-booking sites and I’ll be honest when I tell you that Priceline is not one of my favorites. But I have to give them credit because they actually have more crazy discounted hotel rooms available than any of the others.

Saving up to 50% is not something that is simple to do at most hotels. Obviously this discount does not apply to hot destinations in their peak season, but checking out these deals can lead to some creative vacations that you might not have considered otherwise. Nearly any place can be fun to visit if you can get a great hotel room for cheap and hopefully also a cheap flight to get there.

Ever been to Austin, Texas? I have and it’s super fun, no matter what time of the year. I was there just before Christmas a couple years ago and the town was mostly empty (it’s a college town) but that actually made it really interesting. The fact that I spent the night in jail instead of my cheap hotel room shouldn’t take away from an otherwise fun visit, and I’m telling you this so you can learn from my mistakes, even if I don’t.
