Here’s a suite deal on room upgrades

The time to book an upcoming hotel stay is now, thanks to Expedia and this new deal I just found out about: Free room upgrades in top destinations!

Regular readers of this column know I’m a huge fan of top destinations. And if there is one thing better than having a normal room at a top destination, it’s having a nicer room at a top destination…for the same price! You have to book these by February 5 in order to get the free upgrades, and they are only good on stays through March 10, but they include great winter destinations like Las Vegas and Orlando. What are you waiting for?

Part of what I like about a room upgrade is it feels like you are the boss of that wing of the hotel. You can walk by the normal small rooms as people are going in or out, and then loudly comment on what a cozy little room it is. I do that even when I’m by myself because it helps my self-esteem. And I always tell people I’m staying in the Savoy Suite, even when I’m not, just because it sounds classy. Try it yourself and I think you’ll enjoy it like I do.
