The last time I was in Vegas, I told myself I probably wouldn’t return to Sin City until I had a few more dollars in my pocket to stay someplace a little more fabulous, eat at some of the city’s best restaurants, have the cash to really enjoy the city (and all of the opportunities to get in trouble) and maybe even get tickets to a Las Vegas show. With all of the insane deals happening right now in Las Vegas, I may not have to wait quite as long as I thought to at least stay somewhere totally sweet on my next trip to Vegas. With hotel deals all up and down the strip and plenty of promotions on rooms, I may even be able to afford staying somewhere like the luxurious Wynn. Wynn and Encore rates from $139 plus a $75 resort credit! Book your stay today – use code AFFASV
Las Vegas hotels aren’t the only one offering some great deals to lure travelers to the destination. Now is also a great time to score a deal on cheap tickets to Vegas from all around the country. Especially hard hit by the economic recession and having far fewer leisure and business travelers to Vegas, now is also a great time to clean up and score a great deal on a Vegas vacation package—with some packages starting as low as just a few hundred dollars for airfare and accommodations on the strip.
According to a recent article by Joel Stein in Time Magazine, Las Vegas is down right now—and Stein has no problem taking advantage of the city when it’s at it’s lowest. Stein writes that “”On the right day in July, you could book the type of 750-sq.-ft. room that was $500 a year ago at the Wynn for $109 and get a $50 gift certificate.” So, what does this mean for you? It’s time to take advantage of the insane Vegas deals and get ready for a high roller weekend at budget prices.
With empty rooms, hotels aren’t the only ones suffering from the economic downturn. Casino revenues are also way down, meaning that some hotels are offering pretty sweet deals for anyone willing to come and spend money. The MGM is offering a a deal where if you commit to spend $500 (which you can deduct from any meals, drinks, spa, pool offerings and more), you will be treated like a high roller– including an upgrade to a suite; upgraded tickets to Cirque du Soleil’s KÀ; VIP access to the casino’s nightclubs, Studio 54 and Tabu; two-for-one entrees at fine-dining restaurants; a limo ride to and from any MGM Mirage resort; free admission to the fitness center and the exclusive swimming area, Wet Republic; and no-wait passes for taxi and buffet lines. What several thousand dollars may have bought you just a couple of years ago in Vegas can now be bought for just a few hundred.
