Last-minute flight deals are exciting to think about

Regular readers of this column tend to be much smarter and better looking than average people, and you also like sensational last-minute discounts more than most people as well. Here you go then: Last-minute flight deals! – Ongoing

In our laboratories we are researching how the pieces all fit together, but at the moment our theory is that smart and attractive people are used to preferred treatment so these last-minute special airfares seem like our birthright. Let the plain and dimwitted folks just march down to the airport on Friday and try their luck at getting a decent deal. The elite among us like to feel like the special people we are, so saving a bunch of money by booking one of these terrific deals is just the way we roll.

Some people like to apologize for getting this preferred treatment, but this is a competitive world and apologizing for being smart and good looking is a waste of time. A better way of “giving back” to society at large might be to say hello to them while at the airport. It’ll probably make their day, and yet only inconvenience us a bit. It’s up to you though.
