Last-minute hotels seem to be getting cheaper

Hotel sign thingNope, this isn’t an April Fools joke, Expedia really does have some excellent deals on last minute hotels: Last-Minute Hotel Deals at Expedia.com

They list deals for a bunch of US cities on the page you’ll see, but if you drag down that slider thing you’ll find cities around the world that are part of this offer. Just between you and me, the best ones are the ones with the shortest time-frames.

If you see a hotel that has a price listed for 2 full months then it’s probably near the normal price, but many of the hotels listed only have these prices good for the next week or so. Those are the ones you want because that means those places have too many empty rooms and they are slashing prices with the hopes of filling them.

If your trip isn’t for a while you might want to check back on that section if you are a bit of a gambler. If you are going to a popular destination the prices might actually go up, but if you are going off-season you might get an excellent deal. I have a very good feeling about this on your behalf. Just don’t stay at an airport hotel unless you absolutely have to.
