klcc_park_dolphin.JPGIf you happen to commute between Los Angeles and Kuala Lumpur each day you are in luck. Malaysia Airlines is now offering daily service between the two cities. The flight probably takes as long as it does to get cross town in Los Angeles on the freeways but that is another story.

The increase in service to Malaysia is excellent news for travelers looking to score a cheap ticket to Asia. More flights mean more seats and more seats means better prices. At least that is how I think it is supposed to work out, but I kind of feel asleep during Economics 101 so you never really know.

So what is there to see and do in Kuala Lumpur? There are, of course, the two large towers that are no longer the tallest in the world, but are still pretty remarkable to see in person. There is also fine shopping, excellent natural scenery and a tourist district that will knock your socks off (assuming you are wearing socks, which I wouldn’t recommend because it is hot in Malaysia and sandals probably would work best).

For the best rates on accommodations in Malaysia, do yourself a favor and check out the prices on youth hostels before you do any further planning.
