One-way flights from $49+

Air Tran is currently offering a really interesting fare sale through Travelocity with one-way flights starting at $49+. Sure, most of their destinations are at least a bit higher, and that “+” after the $49 can be up to about $36 in taxes and fees, but the unusual thing about this sale is these are actual one-way fares, not “each-way based on a round-trip purchase.”
The other details are that these require a 10-day advanced purchase, they must be booked by December 13, and travel must be completed by February 27. And of course you can’t get these fares in the days just before and after Christmas and New Years, but that still leaves most of the winter.
If you are like me you research one-way fares all the time because there is nothing like getting new scenery. Frighteningly, one-way fares are almost always about as high as the price of round-trip sale fares, which takes a lot of the fun out of it.
With this deal you can fly between Milwaukee and Orlando for $94+. Who wouldn’t want to visit Milwaukee this time of year? Come on, Orlando people, what are you waiting for? If your new life coordinating Laverne & Shirley tours doesn’t work out it’s likely this sale will come along again next year so you’ll be able to fly back to Orlando and work on your next brilliant idea. Bon voyage.
