Pack your suitcase and then check out this deal

By wade | Permalink | June 19th, 2008

NYC skylineMany of the better deals I find for this column are “last-minute” deals, which are actually for trips about 2 weeks away. If that’s not soon enough for you, you might be able to save even more with last-second deals: Save up to 70% on last second travel deals!

As mentioned in the title, I think it would be really fun to actually pack your bags and then pick out the best last second trip you could find. I suppose you could adjust your clothes selections after you buy the package and then before you head to the airport, which would be a good idea if you were heading to a tropical island or mountains so something like that. It would be so exciting to be on your computer at 2pm and then on a plane somewhere at 6pm. I guess you could pack your bag after buying the ticket, but you know what I mean.

Trying to find the cheapest flights usually means booking way in advance. You can also find cheap hotels in NYC if you book 6 months ahead, but where is the fun in that? If I knew I wanted to be in New York City 6 months before I got on a plane, I’d be some kind of psychic who would win the lottery on a regular basis. I guess then I could afford to pay full price, so that would be nice if I could pull that off.
