Priceline – now with no booking fees

Blue holeIf there were two annoying things about Priceline in the past they were booking fees and William Shatner. But as you may know Priceline no longer has the booking fees for any flight booked through their normal search engine, so one down and one to go!

Priceline has always been one of the cheaper flight and hotel search engines out there, and unless something drastic changes beyond my control, the above link to the site doesn’t have a single disturbing image of Dr. Spock or whatever his name on Lost In Space was back in the 1950s.

One of the deals they are offering on their main page is flights to London from $161 each way on Virgin Atlantic. I don’t know if those flights originate in Manchester or in New York City, but I do know that Virgin Atlantic has sweet trans-Atlantic service so fingers crossed on the NYC thing.

One word of warning though, when searching for flights on Priceline you usually have to click the Search button twice. I guess they only want serious inquiries and they figure that people too lazy to click on the Search button a second time to see what went wrong are mainly flakes and unlikely to have a credit card anyway.
