Priceline wants to save you a few hundred dollars

buildingsI had never been much of a fan of Priceline until I saw a study showing that they are actually the cheapest of the flight-booking sites. Now I see these package deals and I think they are probably great prices: Save up to $325 on Big City Packages!

Priceline has these offers whereby you can book your flight and your hotel to big cities with them and save up to $325. Honest to god, Priceline is a cheap site for booking things, but I don’t quite understand why they always say you can save up to $325. That part of the offer makes me suspicious because someone flying from Reno to Las Vegas for 3 days won’t be able to save as much as someone flying from San Diego to New York for a week. And yet it’s always up to $325. I don’t get it, but I still like Priceline.

I won’t book my around the world ticket with Priceline because they don’t have good customer service before you buy a ticket and sometimes you need someone to answer your questions. But if I’m buying a ticket to a big city I’ll check the Priceline price first because it’ll usually be around $5 cheaper than most other sites. It really helps to use more than one site, regardless of what William Shatner says.
