Romantic vacations are on sale, even in summer

Everyone is thinking about finding a “romantic vacation” around Valentine’s Day, but really where can you go in February if you aren’t the sort of person who wants to just sit on the beach all day? The good news now is that all the travel companies are scrambling to get customers these days that they are putting things on sale that they never had to in previous summers.
The fine folks at Funjet Vacations are running a special promotion with 10 Romantic Escapes that are ideal for couples, and there are a few beaches on the list, but also cities, like Paris, of course. They are also promoting Banff in Canada, which is going to start to sound pretty nice when things really heat up in a month or two. Funjet Offers Romance Vacation Packages!

But if none of those trips appeal to you there is no reason to be disappointed, because the travel world is our oyster this summer. Expedia has package deals to Paris that include flights and well-located hotels, and they are honestly about half what you’d pay last year.
You might also consider a romantic trip to New York City. Airfare to New York is also way down this year, and cheap NYC hotels are easy to find, although they may not be cheap compared to most other cities you might be used to. It’s good to check a New York travel guide to get the best advice on where to stay and where you shouldn’t stay. As a former resident of that city, I’ll tell you right now that staying really close to Times Square is a bad idea, even though that’s where most of the tourist hotels are located.
Here are a couple other deals you might consider for a romantic trip:
Romantic Tuscany for 7 nights starting at $838 per person
Adults-only (oooh!) resorts in the Caribbean starting at $503 per person for 4 nights plus air.
