Southwest Airlines has the best deals this year for sure

We’ve talked about it a bit before, but just to remind you, Southwest Airlines had a brilliant program in place whereby they bought their fuel for the whole year quite a while ago, all at a very reasonable price. Remember what we just discussed above, now factor in that Southwest Vacations is a huge department that is able to book hotels at great rates and combine them with their cheap flights. Who wins in this scenario? Well, Southwest does, but so do the consumers who take advantage of these deals instead of ones from competing companies.

To be perfectly honest, I’ve never been a huge fan of Southwest Airlines, because I don’t like to have to compete for a decent seat. But I don’t even know if they do that crazy thing anymore, and at these prices they can practically stuff me in the overhead bin and I’ll be happy. Having to pay $10 to use the seatbelt on another airline is not my idea of fun, and they won’t let you skip it either!
