Regular readers of this column know all too well that I’m not normally big on package deals unless they are really offering something special. Well, some new things I’ve seen from Spirit Vacations really do qualify, so here goes: All Inclusive Vacation Deals

These all-inclusive packages are now looking to be cheaper than just about anything you could put together yourself. I think it’s clear that many sectors of the travel industry are suffering right now, so there is intense competition to fill up some rooms and salvage what they can out of what is supposed to be the busy season. Jamaica at up to 60% plus free nights? Where do I sign?

Another advantage of these package deals is that you don’t have to worry about matching things up on your own. For example, you might find a good deal on hotels in Las Vegas, and another good deal on flights to Florida, but unless they are in the same place at the same time this does you no good. Of course, you could book that combination yourself if you are prepared for a 40-hour drive to your hotel room each night, and then back again each morning.
