Spring is still young, but here’s a summer sale on hotels

By wade | Permalink | April 30th, 2008

Suite hotel dealI get a lot of emails asking why I don’t dig up more great deals from Orbitz, and part of the reason is often they don’t measure up, but this new promotion looks very worthwhile: Orbitz Summer Sale: SAVE up to 50% on hotels! Hurry…offer ends July 6!
Saving money on winter hotel stays is not too difficult unless you are in Florida or Mexico, but saving big bucks in the summer is another story. I’ve got to hand it to the people at Orbitz for these deals because these prices are so tempting it’s making me wonder how much sick time I can take in June. If anyone knows of a convincing-sounding ailment I can call in with while I’m really paying rock-bottom prices at a nice hotel room, could you leave it in the comments?

I once had an upper respiratory tract infection and that lasted over two weeks, but I was coughing the whole time so that won’t work. Maybe I’ll say I have acute something because that confuses people. I can’t tell them I have an acute case of discount hotels syndrome, or can I? When my bosses see these prices I have a feeling they’ll understand. Sorry, I had acute DHS. I’ll see you in a few days!
