This is kind of an ongoing deal, but I like to point it out once in a while because every student or young person should know about it: >ChaChing! No Service Fees on Flights!

Here’s the deal, if you are a student, or a teacher, or you’ve just recently graduated, you can join STA Travel. Once you get your memberships card you are eligible for flight, hotel, and hostel discounts that aren’t available to the general public, and this is not just some come-on that charges you a fee and then delivers nothing special. These prices are often way cheaper than anything you can get through any other source, and if you are planning on traveling much in the upcoming year this membership will pay for itself many times over.

You can get cheap last minute flights or you can save a ton by booking way in advance. You can get the best deals possible at Paris hostels, all by being a student or teacher. So in addition to being insulated from the real world, you get cheap travel as well. It’s not really fair to the rest of us, but it’s how it is, and you owe it to yourself to take advantage of it.
