Autumn is always the time of year when you really notice the length of the days. After the long hours of daylight during the summer months it is always very dramatic to witness the days getting increasingly shorter. Some people love it, some people hate it.
If you are in the love short days camp, you will really enjoy visiting Scandinavia during the winter. You won’t have to worry about packing sunscreen and your sunglasses will hardly ever need to be used. In places like Denmark, Norway and Sweden, the average number of daylight hours is about as long as it takes to drink a cup of coffee.
Besides the lack of daylight, there are a million reasons to visit Scandinavia regardless of the time of year. The cities are clean and efficient, the people are warm and welcoming, and the culture is rich and historic. One more reason to consider a trip to Scandinavia this winter is that the prices on SAS flights are about as reasonable as you will ever find.
With the money you save you can buy one of those happy lamps to keep your body happy while it secretly years for daylight.
