boa-vista-brazil.jpgA lot of places around the world like to think of themselves as being like Paris. Bucharest is the Paris of the Balkans. Shanghai is the Paris of Asia. Buenos Aires is the Paris of South America. And so on and so on.

One Paris that you might not be familiar with is Boa Vista. It is the Paris of Brazil. Or at least that is what the city planners had in mind when the designed the city northern Brazil. With 16 big, sweeping avenues that converge at the Civic Center Plaza, you can see the Parisian inspiration.

While the city layout might be European, Boa Vista is unmistakably a Brazilian city, but a unique one at that. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the country with more parks and greenspace than you’ll find on more Brazilian cities. The largest park is the Anaua Park, which offers up all kinds of recreational fun like kayaking, sailing, and go karts.

There is also a plethora of nightlife options that will offer proof that when Brazilians set out to have fun they do it like no one else.

Boa Vista is served by an international airport and if you book tickets now on Priceline, you can get some sweet deals on flights from the US.
