Going on a bargain vacation doesn’t mean you have to spend a week a fleabag hotel off of an interstate in the middle of nowhere. In fact, some of the cheapest places to travel in the United States are also the most popular and desirable. The good folks over at Hotwire have compiled a list of the top ten destinations for bargain travelers. And the winners are:
1. Denver, Colorado
2. Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina
3. Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina
4. Knoxville, Tennessee
5. Tampa-St. Petersburg-Sarasota, Florida
6. Albuquerque-Santa Fe, New Mexico
7. Orlando-Daytona Beach, Florida
8. Reno, Nevada
9. Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas
10. Los Angeles, California
Not a bad list in my opinion. If you are interested in finding the best hotel rates for any of these cities, the first place you should go is to the magnificent hotel finder.
