TSA Issues Updated Airport Security Design Guidelines

By Court | Permalink | July 27th, 2006

After a year and a half of meetings, reviews and other such stuff, the TSA has announced new design guidelines for airports, in order to increase security.

What does this mean for travelers? Well, right now, nothing. However, in the future, it could result in changed airport layouts…with new screening procedures…and long lines.

More importantly, we’re wondering who will pay for those airport changes. We highly doubt the government and the airports themselves are going to foot the entire bill…which means increased taxes, fees and other such magical amounts on our cheap ticket bills.
