Airline Deals - Travel Deals

Latin America is cheaper than English America

Latin AmericaI’ve traveled quite a bit in Central and South America and I can vouch for the fact that Taca is the best airline in those regions. See the great Taca Airlines deals for yourself: Lowest fares to vacation paradise

Forget those “save 61%” sites, this is better

HawaiiSo imagine the smile on my face when I came across this deal: Hawaii Travel Deals with Air & Car – Save up to 62%

People who’ve been reading this column for any length of time are well aware of how fond I am of big savings. I’m drawn to them in the same way that Lindsay Lohan is drawn to bars with paparazzi out front. We are both powerless!

Southwest Airlines is somehow always cheap

SouthwestVacationsSouthwest Airlines has a reputation for super low prices and obnoxious flight attendants. Is one worth putting up with the other? That’s for you to decide. As far as I know I’m still banned from their system (don’t ask), but since you aren’t, you might be interested in this deal that just landed near my inbox (the new mail guy seems to be nearsighted) – Check out Southwest Airlines Vacations’ destinations. Find affordable air/hotel packages to exciting destinations from coast to coast.

If there is one thing my penpals and parole officers know about me, it’s that the only things I like more than destinations are exciting destinations! Seriously, Southwest has super low airfares to nearly everywhere they fly, and their vacation packages follow down that same road. I don’t know quite how they do it. Are they using robot workers from the future? I assume so, but I honestly don’t find that as troubling as some people evidently do.

Some say that robot workers from the future are ticking time bombs and that they’ll inevitably rise up and seize power, subjugating the very humans that created them. I’m not nearly so pessimistic. As long as Southwest can offer deals this low, I honestly don’t care what kind of robots they use to achieve it.

Austria has its own airline

AustriaAirI’ve been all over Europe and yet I just now learned that there in an airline based in Austria. Austrian Airlines is showing some really good fares from the US to Europe, and specifically to Vienna and Salzburg. Their best fare is a roundtrip from NYC to Vienna for $547.

Lessno Travel has a catchy name and low fares

BelizeWe are always on the lookout for new budget airfare sights and this new one caught my eye. You can get up to 40% Off International Flights at Lessno
at Lessno, which sounds like a helluva bargain to me. The name evidently stands for “less money, no hassle,” and that combination works well for me.

One-way flights from $49+

Miami fireworksAir Tran is currently offering a really interesting fare sale through Travelocity with one-way flights starting at $49+. Sure, most of their destinations are at least a bit higher, and that “+” after the $49 can be up to about $36 in taxes and fees, but the unusual thing about this sale is these are actual one-way fares, not “each-way based on a round-trip purchase.”

Priceline – now with no booking fees

Blue holeIf there were two annoying things about Priceline in the past they were booking fees and William Shatner. But as you may know Priceline no longer has the booking fees for any flight booked through their normal search engine, so one down and one to go!

Ten dollars off the final ticket price

plane sunsetA new-sounding travel site called Travelation is offering $10 off the final ticket price of a ticket purchased through them from now through December 31, 2007. I know what you are thinking – does the world need another travel search engine site? Well in this case the answer is yes because even though the fares tend to be mostly the same through all of them this one in particular is trying to give you an early Christmas gift for giving them a try.

Start spreading the news

Empire StateTravelocity has a heckuva sale on now offering a flight to New York City and 3 nights hotel starting at $581. If you’ve checked out hotel prices on their own there you’d know that it’s hard to find anything for under $200 a night regardless, so having a flight thrown in is a pretty sweet deal even if it’s based on double occupancy.
