Growing up in the West, I was blessed with many opportunities to travel to the often sunny and very beautiful state of California several times before I even reached the age of 18. Since then, living in Oregon has brought even more opportunities to head south and hang out in the warm, sunny California rays, breath in the fog in Dan Francisco and check out the spectacular beauty of the Big Sur coastline. However, for many of those coming from far away, a California getaway may not be quite as accessible (though still totally worth it).
