Sporting events can be a great excuse to travel somewhere new, and it’s a great way to get involved in something that isn’t generally thought of as a mainstream tourist event.

As soon as the 4 of July has come and gone, I was already busy making plans for where I should head for the next long weekend—Labor Day. Since my homestate of Colorado and the Rocky Mountains beckon me from the Northwest, I have been considering looking into deals to fly to Denver for the long weekend. Where ever you chose to go this Labor Day, there are a ton of great deals on vacation packages over Labor Day weekend to a wide variety of destinations across the U.S. With rooms booking up fast over the holiday weekend, the sooner you book your cheap hotel the better—especially with so many great deals on airfare and hotels floating around out there right now.
There is no surer sign that spring is on the way than hearing the crack of the bat, the cheers from the crowd and the sight of saliva being expunged from players’ mouths. Baseball is the great American pastime. If you are a baseball purist, or simply someone who appreciates sitting out in the sun eating junk food and drinking overpriced watered down beer, going to spring training will be something you’ll cherish forever.
We all know that the holiday season is a crazy time to travel. The airlines jack up their prices and the airports start to resemble an art farm. Sometimes we are simply at the mercy of the calendar and have to endure the holiday crunch.

Going on a bargain vacation doesn’t mean you have to spend a week a fleabag hotel off of an interstate in the middle of nowhere. In fact, some of the cheapest places to travel in the United States are also the most popular and desirable. The good folks over at
Hawaii is little more than a bunch of islands made from volcanic rock. So how come everyone wants to go there? I don’t think you need me to answer that. The place is beautiful and should be somewhere every single breathing or not breathing human being goes a least once in her lifetime.
