Spend your Thanksgiving in Europe

thanksgivingdinenr.jpgNothing is more American than Thanksgiving. The pilgrims, the Indians, the turkeys and pumpkin pie…Thanksgiving is a time for gluttony and a time to be thankful for football on television. If you are the adventurous type, and I suspect you are, Thanksgiving in another country can be a whole heck of a lot of fun. For one thing, no one else will be celebrating it so that makes you special. For another, you probably get days off at work so you won’t have to take too much vacation time. Plus, you won’t have to listen to your boring aunt tell the same stories over and over and over again, unless you choose to bring her along.

Cheapflights is offering up some sweet deals for trips to Europe for Thanksgiving this year. Whether you want to go to Prague, Rome or even London, you can have yourself a memorable American holiday in another country.

For the best deals on flights to Europe you can always find them here.

New York to Vancouver Flights for Cheap, eh

malcolm_mountie.jpgVancouver, British Columbia is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited. With tall, sleek buildings overlooking both the sea and stunning mountains, the city is one of a kind. Vancouver is also one of the most diverse cities in North America, which means that it has some of the finest ethnic restaurants on this planet. My personal favorite is an amazing Indian joint called Vij’s. You’ll want to show up early because they don’t take reservations and there is always a line. It is well worth the wait.

Cathay Pacific, one of the best airlines around, is offering up flights from New York to Vancouver starting at just US$317. If you have never been to Vancouver or if you want to see the Pacific Northwest at its finest, hop on this deal today.

Set Sail for San Diego

san-diego-zoo.jpgSan Diego is one of those cities that is interesting for about three days. It is near some beautiful beaches, it has a revitalized downtown area with cultural attractions, there are loads of sailors who live there and can be fun to stare at for a few minutes, and there is, of course, the world famous San Diego Zoo. If that weren’t enough, it is not very far from Mexico and there are some mountains within driving distance too. Oh, and the weather there ranges from perfect to perfect.

Ok, maybe three days isn’t enough to do all that, but it a start. It also is the minimum length stay as part of a phenomenal package deal put together by our friends at Priceline.

Get Thee to Cabo San Lucas

cortes.jpgRemember how I was telling you about Baja, California? Of course you do. It was only a couple of days ago and no matter how hard you try to kill your brain cells you should be remember something like this.

We’re still on a Baja kick because the prices for flights there these days are cheaper than a cheap coat. How cheap? Glad you asked. Frontier Airlines will fly you from LA to Cabo San Lucas for about 200 bones this winter. If you haven’t been to Cabo, it is Fabo. Just ask Hernán Cortés, he visited there in 1535.
