Costa Rica - Travel Deals
Are you serious? $49 flights to Costa Rica from Miami?
American Airlines is practically begging you to go to Central America. Whether it is motivated by the kindness of their heart or by profit motive or by competition, they are offering some outstanding deals on flights between Florida and Central America, as well as Florida and the Caribbean. How outstanding is outstanding?
Try $49 for a one-way ticket between Miami and San Juan, Costa Rica. That is pretty darned incredible even when you throw in all the taxes and fees. You can’t even fly from Miami to Atlanta for that price.
The same deal applies for flights to Aruba, Curacao, and Guatemala City among other places. For the best advice on where to go, what to see and where to stay while you are in Central America or the Caribbean, check out the BootsnAll travel guides.
Legendarily Cheap Flights from Miami to Central America
Ahhh, super cheap flights to Central America. Round-trip airfare from Miami for $150. That must mean these are flights to Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa. Right?
Wrong.
TACA Airlines has forgotten that the airline business exists to punish our wallets. They are guilty of offering up some of the best deals to the other Central America – Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Honduras – that you will likely see in a long, long time.
For my money, Central America is one of the best regions in the world to travel to. It is close to the United States, you can literally get by on a few dollars a day in many areas, and there is more than enough to see and do. Beyond that, places like Nicaragua and Honduras are not overrun with tourists. Unless you try really hard, you will be able to meet plenty of locals who will greatly appreciate having you in their country. The travel may be a little more arduous than what you’ll find in Western Europe, but a little bit of effort will lead a whole lot of reward.
The catch on this incredible deal is that you need to fly from Miami. You also need to book a ticket by June 29, 2007 and fly before Novemeber 30, 2007.
Cheap Central America Vacation Packages
Belize, Costa Rica, Honduras or Panama. Which one of these countries would you most like to visit? Belize is so close to the United States and it has an English speaking population. It has some lovely beaches and the snorkeling/diving opportunities are some of the best in the world. It has fascinating Mayan ruins.
Costa Rica has the scenery. The country has a higher percentage of land set aside as protected land than anywhere else in this world. It too has great beaches and water. Costa Rica doesn’t have an army so you don’t have to worry about them trying to draft you.
Honduras is the wildcard of the bunch. It is a poor nation that is rich in human warmth. It has some splendid mountains and a way of life that will soothe your harried soul. It probably gets less tourists than the other three.
Panama has the canal, of course. It also has Panama City, which is the most developed city in Central America. If you like heat and humidity you could do a lot worse than visiting Panama.
Tough choice, isn’t it? Perhaps you should factor in these excellent deals from Latin Destinations into your decision.
Costa Rica doesn’t have to Costa lot of Money
People have a lot of good things to say about traveling to Costa Rica and I happen to be one of those people. The country has done a marvelous job of protecting its environment and helping to make it into an eco travel mecca. In addition to the trees, monkeys and other exotic wildlife, you’ll find some of the friendliest and most gracious people on the planet. Costa Rica is a winner. You can be a winner too by taking advantage of these deals on the vacation packages to the heart of Central America.

Travel to Liberia…Costa Rica, that is
Liberia, Costa Rica has an identity problem. When most people think of Liberia, they probably think of that other one. You know, the war-torn country in Africa that was founded by former American slaves.
The Liberia in Costa Rica is far different from its African namesake. For one thing, it is near some spectacular beaches. For another, it is a great jumping off point for Costa Rica’s finest national parks including Rincon de la Vieja and Santa Rosa.
Continental has some nice package deals to the Costa Rican Liberia on sale this very second. Give it a consideration. You’ll confuse and probably scare the heck out of your friends when you tell them you are going on vacation to Liberia.
