JetBlue offers all-you-can-fly pass

jetblueAny time you pair the words “unlimited” and “travel” together in the same sentence you are bound to get my attention, which is exactly what JetBlue was aiming to do when they announced their new “All You Can Jet” pass for $599 this week. From September 8 to October 8. The pass allows customers to travel for business or pleasure as often as you like for 31 days (though JetBlue was careful not to include Labor Day or Presidents Day in the eligible month). JetBlue Flight Deals

While the Jet Blue Pass seems like a great deal at first, unless you are planning on taking several round-trip flights in the month or spend a lot of time on planes for business travel, this pass probably isn’t all that much of a bargain. For the casual traveler, you are probably better off just sticking to booking your travel the old-fashioned way-one flight at a time. However, if you either have a bunch of spare time to travel this September and a lot of friends and family you want to visit, or are a business traveler who is on the road a lot, the all-you-can-fly pass could potentially save you some dollars.

Tune in for JetBlue Cheapie Flights

jetblue1.jpgConfession time. I don’t have cable television. I know, it is 2007 and by law of the universe everybody is supposed to have seven millions television channels to choose from. I am one of those weirdoes that do not. When I want to watch a television show I break out the rabbit ears, dust off the television screen and try to remember how to use the remote control. Well, I do that or I book a flight on JetBlue.

You know the JetBlue story by now. They are a cheapie airline that goes head-to-head with Southwest and the other discount airlines in terms of low prices and no frills service. The thing is, the service on JetBlue is actually full of frills if you consider having satellite television at your airplane seat to be frilly.

I do. Thanks to the powers of Directv, you can watch 36 channels while cruising at 15,000 feet. We’re talking sports on ESPN, news on the news stations, BBC America and whatever else is shown on the myriad stations that don’t come in throw my rabbit ears. Sure makes the flight go by faster.

New York to Houston - Cheap Tickets from JetBlue

We get really, really excited when carriers announce new flight routes. This is for two reasons.

One: We cross our fingers that our big-city-with-a-small-city-feel hometown, Portland, will finally - FINALLY - get some more direct flights that don’t make us go through, say, Idaho.

Two: The intro fares for these new routes are generally uber-cheap.

While we still have to wait a little longer for number one (sigh), we are pleased to announce that JetBlue is rewarding New Yorkers and Texans with a new route starting on Sept 7, 2006. And, to celebrate, they’re selling tickets for only $99 one-way.

New York City, NY (JFK) to Houston, TX (Hobby). 14-day advance purchase is required. Sale fare must be booked by Jul 18, 2006, 11:59PM MST. Travel must be completed by Oct 31, 2006.
