Should you want to escape to Mexico, you can fly from Denver to Cabo San Lucas, Cancún , Cozumel, Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta; from Kansas City, you can fly to Cabo San Lucas , Cancún and Puerto Vallarta; from Chicago it’s possible to fly directly to Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas; while to Cancun you can also get directly from Milwaukee, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Rockford, Salt Lake City and St. Louis.
If you have Costa Rica in your mind, then you can fly from Denver to Liberia and San Jose.
For example, a getaway in Cancun costs $505 RT (plus fees and taxes) per person, if you want to stay there for Valentine’s Day (Feb 12 / Feb 16). The price is valid for a flight from/to Denver and at the time the article was written. For the same travel period, a flight from Kansas City to/from Cancun will set you back $565 RT (plus fees and taxes) per person.
