For some strange and inexplicable reason, many people living in the United States look at Canada as being a giant black hole. Sure they know that there is a country to the north, but beyond that they couldn’t tell you their Moose Jaw from their Manitoba. This is a shame because Canada is a wonderful country in many ways and its proximity to the United States makes it a convenient destination for a quick little getaway, as well as for longer holidays.
The vast majority of the Canadian population lives within a few hundred miles of the United States border. Start heading further north and you’ll encounter a winter cold that will literally take your breath away. The further north you go, the more rough and tumble the terrain becomes and the more likely you’ll be able to look around and not see another soul for miles.

When you think of Nashville you think of country music, but the music doesn’t just stop and end with music about women breaking hearts and feeling lower than a dog’s tail. Nashville has a vibrant and frankly awesome jazz scene. The city ain’t named Music City USA for nothing.

From the bustling shopping districts of Tokyo to the serenity of Kyoto to the overwhelming growth of Shanghai to the rapid transformation of Beijing, there is a lot going on in Japan and China. Now is the perfect time to visit one or both of these great countries.

Isn’t it kind of funny that every year around the middle of March when St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated people start coming out of the woodwork claiming their Irish heritage? Ireland and its people have a good name in large parts of the United States and many a traveler has enjoyed warm visions of what it would be like to spend some time in Ireland.
A modern city, steeped in history, situated in a beautiful setting and replete with an awesome nightlife, Barcelona, Spain is a must-see for travelers of all ages and all interests. With round-trip ticket prices from parts of the United States to London hovering around the $300 range, now is an excellent time to book yourself on a flight to the United Kingdom. Ticket prices generally start edging up in the spring and then they explode into the expensive atmosphere come summer.
