This one size fits all promotion is good until November 22, 2007, so get your plans in place now and you’ll be able to experience a vacation that is just right for you.
Tune in for JetBlue Cheapie Flights
Confession time. I don’t have cable television. I know, it is 2007 and by law of the universe everybody is supposed to have seven millions television channels to choose from. I am one of those weirdoes that do not. When I want to watch a television show I break out the rabbit ears, dust off the television screen and try to remember how to use the remote control. Well, I do that or I book a flight on JetBlue.
You know the JetBlue story by now. They are a cheapie airline that goes head-to-head with Southwest and the other discount airlines in terms of low prices and no frills service. The thing is, the service on JetBlue is actually full of frills if you consider having satellite television at your airplane seat to be frilly.
I do. Thanks to the powers of Directv, you can watch 36 channels while cruising at 15,000 feet. We’re talking sports on ESPN, news on the news stations, BBC America and whatever else is shown on the myriad stations that don’t come in throw my rabbit ears. Sure makes the flight go by faster.

Belize Airfare Deals
Ask the average person to start naming the countries in Central America and there is a good chance that they will miss Belize. There is a reason for this. It is a small country that has rarely ever been in the news. It is not a country that has undergone conflict and outside of the occasional hurricane, it has been largely spared from the disasters that have hit other countries in the region.
Belize also may escape the mind because linguistically it is different from the rest of Central America. A former British colony (it was called British Honduras, for those scoring at home), the official language of Belize is English, although many people speak a form of English called Belizean Creole.
While you may not associate Belize with Central America, chances are you have heard that it is a pretty decent place to visit. It has excellent beaches, world class scuba diving and an ex-pat community that is seemingly growing by the second. Given its proximity to the United States, it is also very easy to reach for a short little get away.
Airfare to Belize often depends on the time of the year, but you can usually find a deal if you are persistent. You can also find loads of great information about what to do, where to stay and what to eat by visiting the handy Belize Travel Guide.
Ring in 2008 by Cycling Vietnam
There are some people who love New Year’s Eve and then there are the rest of us. No matter how you plan it the night always turns out to be a disappointment. The restaurant you choose is too crowded and the servers don’t want to be there. The bar you go to is full of people who are way too intoxicated. The quiet night at home watching the ball drop with Dick Clark is depressing not matter what you might tell yourself otherwise. Indeed, New Year’s is a holiday that is all too often lacking.
It doesn’t have to be that way. You can ring in 2008 by doing something you will remember for the rest of your life. BootsnAll is organizing a bicycle tour through Vietnam. This ten-day, all-inclusive trip is nothing short of awesome. Run by a cycling company that knows Vietnam better than anyone, you’ll have the opportunity to pedal through the countryside at a relaxed pace. You’ll meet local residents along the way and you will be exposed to authentic Vietnamese culture.
You can’t beat the price either.
Start 2008 right by taking part in a memorable expedition to a country whose people are known for their hospitality and whose beauty is second to none.
Visit Washington, DC during Cheery Blossom Season
The first year I lived in Washington, DC we had a ton of snow during the winter. The gloomy days were endless and the cold had even the heartiest of souls complaining. The one thing that everyone told me was that if you can survive the winter in DC (normally not that bad) there is a payoff in the form of spring. The spring months would bring pleasant temperatures without the humidity of the summer, they said, and the beautiful sights of cherry blossoms everywhere.
Travel to Tampa Bay Today
While Orlando and Miami get their fare share of the travel attention, Tampa Bay quietly exists as arguably the coolest city in Florida. Yes, the Tampa area and the Gulf Coast does have a reputation for being the home to people who are closer to the end of life than beginning, but if you spend time in the city itself you will find that Tampa Bay has a burgeoning nightlife scene and a very young feel to it.
No trip to Tampa is complete without a night out on the town at Ybor City. Once the home of Tampa’s cigar making industry, today Ybor City attracts tens of thousands of people who are drawn to its clubs and bars each weekend. The scene can be admittedly a little cheesy but if you are on vacation and want to let your hair down while surrounding yourself with alcohol guzzling folk than head to Ybor City on a weekend night.
As for the rest of Tampa, there are the standard tourist attractions like Busch Gardens, as well as a very cool Salvador Dali museum in nearby St. Petersburg. The city also offers access to great beaches and the ocean. In short, you can have an Orlando and Miami type of experience in Tampa without having to deal with the Orlando and Miami type crowds.

Nashville will leave you Singing for More
Did you know that the Grand Old Opry is the oldest continuous radio program in the United States? It is true. The G.O.O., as I like to call it, has been filling the airwaves in Nashville, Tennessee since 1925. When you think of Nashville you think of country music, but the music doesn’t just stop and end with music about women breaking hearts and feeling lower than a dog’s tail. Nashville has a vibrant and frankly awesome jazz scene. The city ain’t named Music City USA for nothing.
While the Grand Old Oprey is in itself a reason to visit Tennessee’s second largest city, there are other attractions that make Nashville a fun vacation spot. Civil War history buffs will enjoy that sites pertaining to the Battle of Nashville and the nearby Battle of Franklin and Battle of Stones River can be seen, along with several well-preserved antebellum plantation houses such as Belle Meade Plantation and Belmont Mansion. The city also has a number of lovely parks and some of the finest dining in the south.
A trip to Nashville can be done in either luxury or on the cheap. If you are looking to have a vacation more towards the cheap end of the spectrum, Priceline is the place to go to find affordable vacation packages for Nashville.
