Last-minute hotels seem to be getting cheaper

Hotel sign thingNope, this isn’t an April Fools joke, Expedia really does have some excellent deals on last minute hotels: Last-Minute Hotel Deals at Expedia.com

They list deals for a bunch of US cities on the page you’ll see, but if you drag down that slider thing you’ll find cities around the world that are part of this offer. Just between you and me, the best ones are the ones with the shortest time-frames.

We don’t always win, but this time we did

Jamaica monRegular readers are painfully aware of my recent battle with Sandals resorts. They ended a great promotion last week, I fought to have it extended, and I did it! Click Here to get up to TWO FREE NIGHTS at Sandals Resorts plus Save up to 50% off !

When you click over there you’ll see that I got the “Suiteheart” deal extended until the end of the month. Honestly, I can’t take all the credit. I know many of you played a big role in this victory as well, and I consider us a team and I always have.

Pssst, this deal is just between you and me

suite dealPeople often ask me if there are perks to writing this column. The truth is I often get “insider” information, but I usually can’t write about it here. Well, in this case I can: Expedia Insiders’ Select: The ultimate list of the world’s best hotels and resorts only at Expedia.com!

I’m pretty sure I’m not going to get in trouble for sharing this one, but regular readers of this column know I get in trouble from these travel companies all the time anyway.

Speaking of last-minute deals

hotelroomI’ve actually stayed in several of the hotels Expedia is now showing on their last-minute section, and I can tell you that many of these are really great deals: Last-Minute Hotel Deals at Expedia.com

They are showing some really low prices on hotels if you are ready to travel in the next two weeks or so. Some of the cities featured are probably good deals because it’s off-season there, but Miami and Orlando are showing some really promising room rates as well.

Half-price hotel rooms are no longer just a dream

hotel roomPriceline does it again with this fantastic offer: Priceline.com Hotels – save up to 50%

I’ve done a ton of research on these travel-booking sites and I’ll be honest when I tell you that Priceline is not one of my favorites. But I have to give them credit because they actually have more crazy discounted hotel rooms available than any of the others.

All hotels are on sale, sort of

Hotel signI’m pretty used to finding great travel deals in this job, but this one shocked even me: Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now!

Hotels.com is one of the bigger and more reputable online hotel booking sites, and evidently they are trying to pump up their numbers for January, which is probably a slow month for them. As long as you book in January for travel through the end of March, you qualify for a rebate of between $20 and $100.

Vegas, baby, Vegas

The ultimate spring break experience

StudentcityAn outfit called Studentcity.com is advertising what looks to be some great spring break specials. They mostly seem to have trips to various hotspots in Mexico, but the Bahamas is listed as well, and there may be more where that came from.

Start spreading the news

Empire StateTravelocity has a heckuva sale on now offering a flight to New York City and 3 nights hotel starting at $581. If you’ve checked out hotel prices on their own there you’d know that it’s hard to find anything for under $200 a night regardless, so having a flight thrown in is a pretty sweet deal even if it’s based on double occupancy.
