All hotels are on sale, sort of

Hotel signI’m pretty used to finding great travel deals in this job, but this one shocked even me: Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now!

Hotels.com is one of the bigger and more reputable online hotel booking sites, and evidently they are trying to pump up their numbers for January, which is probably a slow month for them. As long as you book in January for travel through the end of March, you qualify for a rebate of between $20 and $100.

It doesn’t have to be such a Lonely Planet

Lonelygirl15If you’ve done more than one or two trips in your life you will be pretty excited by this deal: Spend US$40 at the Lonely Planet Shop and receive free delivery and a free gift

Lonely Planet, simply put, is the best travel guidebook series in the world and if you’ve never used one this is an excellent opportunity to check them out. They are doing some sort of year-end sale, which is tempting enough, but when they add in free shipping and a free gift, this turns into a mandatory thing. Get cracking!

Travel to Europe for a lot less than you thought possible

parisnight.jpgWith the holiday season now officially over (and hopefully hangovers gone), it may just be time to start thinking about booking and planning your summer vacation. Luckily, with fewer people spending on travel with constricting budgets, international travel that used to cost a whole lot now cost a whole lot less. In fact, major tourist destinations around the world are suffering from fewer travelers from Thailand to Europe, which means scoring a big discount on an international flight is a piece of cake right now. Save up to 63% on international flights on vayama.com.

This STA Travel card can save you a fortune

Students in the hallFirst the offer: Save $100s, Spend $22

Okay, that’s not really a well-written offer, but these are students for chrissake. Here’s the thing though, this is one of the best offers you are going to find if you are an independent traveler. Assuming you are a student, young person, or a teacher (one way or another) you can get one of these cards for $22 and then save a truckload of money using STA Travel.

Monday is coupon code day!

Taco BellI think we started this tradition two weeks ago, but we’ll officially make every Monday a coupon code day, okay? Here we go for this week: $150 Off when you book 6+ nights vacation package to Mexico (coupon code: MEXICO150)

I love Mexico and I love coupon codes, so imagine the thrill of being able to combine these things? The closest I’ve been to this in the past is when Taco Bell had a coupon in the Sunday newspaper a couple of years ago. Sure, everything at Taco Bell tastes more or less the same, which comes from the fact that they only have about 7 different ingredients and everything is just a slightly different combination of them.

Forget those “save 61%” sites, this is better

HawaiiSo imagine the smile on my face when I came across this deal: Hawaii Travel Deals with Air & Car – Save up to 62%

People who’ve been reading this column for any length of time are well aware of how fond I am of big savings. I’m drawn to them in the same way that Lindsay Lohan is drawn to bars with paparazzi out front. We are both powerless!

How do they do it?

Cheap Caribbean vacations are a click away

Grand Bahamas, modest price

Grand BahamasI’ve never been to the Bahamas, but that might not be true in a few months because this deal sounds fantastic: $200 off 4+ Night package to Grand Bahamas Island (coupon code: BAHAMAS200)

I know the Bahamas is already one of the cheaper Caribbean island chains, so this discount is a pretty big deal. My knowledge of the Bahamas consists mostly of what I heard in the aftermath of Anna Nicole Smith’s death, and of course that horrible song “Who Let the Dogs Out” by the Baha Men. I’m trying to not hold either of those things against the place, and I suggest you do the same.
