Build It and They Will Putt Game from Orbitz

Orbitz launches the new “Build It and They Will Putt” game. The new golf game gives players the opportunity to design the mini-golf hole of their dreams, choosing one of several characters to play the course. Characters in the game are actual Orbitz employees.
Players can share their course with other OrbitzGames members who can rate and also play the multiple submitted course combinations. Players can rate each course based on difficulty, creativity and likeability. Every week for six weeks – from now until August 7, 2006 – voters will choose a winning course design and the designer will win airfare for two anywhere in the U.S. and a new driver.
Players can design and submit multiple holes, increasing their chances of winning a prize. The winning designs will be combined to make up the final 18-hole golf course feature on OrbitzGames.com. The Hotel Scorecard includes individual customer review numeric (1 to 5) scores on amenities, maintenance, hotel staff, room comfort, location and overall value. In addition to the scores, travelers can also add their own personal tips for staying at the hotel or knowledge about the area.
Travelers can now take advantage of the first-hand knowledge of over 90,000 authentic hotel customer reviews solicited only from Orbitz customers who have actually booked and stayed at the hotel. Now, Orbitz gives travelers more great ways to use their MP3 players while they are on the road or taking flight with the launch of Orbitz Insider Podcasts , available for download via iTunes and Orbitz.com.
The podcast travel guides, which are available as a perk to every Orbitz customer at no additional charge, will give Orbitz customers expert insight on the best things to see, do, and experience in some of America’s top destination cities.
The first Orbitz Insider Podcasts will feature New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco, including neighborhood-specific podcasts that help travelers find the hot events and activities in the area nearest them. For example, the New York podcast reveals timely tips for things to do this summer such as the Gospel Brunch at B.B.
