Kangaroos, koalas, crocodiles, and the Great Barrier Reef merely top the list of things to see and do in Australia: wildlife that isn’t anywhere else in the world, the world’s oldest civilization, more than 7,000 beaches, a 110-million-year-old rainforest, and Ayers Rock in the middle of the desert.
Or perhaps you’d rather shop in Melbourne and take in a festival, go to the Sydney Opera House, or ski the Victorian Alps. Meeting the Aussies and their culture is also a great experience. People have immigrated to Australia from more than 150 countries, making it probably the most diverse nation in the world. All these cultures are reflected in the architecture, arts, and superb fusion cuisines.
