A friend of mine got married last week, and while I enjoyed the ceremony and reception and thought she looked beautiful in her dress, the thing that really piqued my interest was how little the married couple spent on a 2 week honeymoon in Mexico.
As it turns out, fall is a great time to get some pretty outrageous deals on vacations in Mexico. With fall marking the shoulder season in Mexico, there are plenty of amazing autumn deals on all-inclusive vacations and more south of the border.
With the symbolic end of summer behind us and September well under its way, there are plenty of opportunities to score some really great deals on fall vacations to Mexico. With summer coming to a close, many of the autumn fare sales are just starting to heat up, with some hotels and airlines offering some outstanding off-season rates. Thanks to all-out fare war between some of the big dog carriers, there are also some domestic fares starting as low as $39. According to an article on msnbc, there are also flights to some international locales in Mexico, Europe and more starting at just $79. This means that if you a dream vacation has been simmering on the backburner, now is the time to book you flights, take advantage of the travel deals and head out on a trip.
For those looking to score more than just a deal on flights to Mexico, there are also plenty of hotel deals to take advantage of just about everywhere these days. With hotels hurting and rolling out offers to try to fill up hotel rooms, many chains now have specials for free nights with a minimum stay. Wyndham hotels are offering a second night half off after a one-night stay at their hotels. The offer is available at the Wyndham hotels in Cozumel—just mention the “50/50 deal” when you call to make reservations.
There are also a ton of great deals out there to be had on cruises to Mexico right now. According to an article in the LA Times, there are many cruises on various ships departing from the West Coast to Mexico for less than $79/night (that includes all of your food and drinks too). Keep in mind part of the reason the deals on cruises are so good is because it is hurricane season, so make sure your travel dates are flexible in case sailing times change to avoid a storm.
