Luxury Travel Deals

Whether you’re the kind of person who typically travels in a luxe style or not, sometimes you feel the need to indulge yourself at a luxury resort. But unless your luxury travel dreams come with an expense account, what you really need to hunt for are luxury travel deals.
Luckily, luxury travel doesn’t always come with a high price tag. If you’re a little patient and you know where to look, you can find great luxury travel deals. Now, you’re still usually going to pay more for these trips than if you stayed at a hostel – it’s not like you can have a 5-star experience for a 1-star price (at least not usually). But you can have a 5-star experience for a 3-star price sometimes, and that can be enough to feel like you won the lottery.
When you’re looking for luxury travel deals, there are a few things to keep in mind in order to get the best deals.
- Look Beyond the Big Sites – You probably already know of sites like Travelocity, Expedia, and Orbitz – and you should definitely check their package deals sections to see if they’ve got any 5-star luxury travel deals that look appealing. But don’t forget to also check sites like Priceline, Booking Buddy and Funjet Vacations. The first two specialize in cheaper travel deals, and the latter specializes in vacation packages.
- Get the Alerts – Many booking sites have regular emails they send out with their latest and greatest travel deals, including vacation packages along with flights and hotel stays. Sign up for those and you’ll be able to act on the news as soon as the email goes out rather than waiting until you’ve got enough time to check each individual site. Learn more about the different booking sites to figure out which ones have the kind of email alerts that will help you.
- Check the Resort’s Website – Even when you’ve found a luxury travel deal you want to book, take the time to do the one extra step of checking the resort hotel’s official website to see if they have any web-only deals available. You may have found the lowest price on one of the other sites mentioned above, but sometimes resorts save even better deals for people who come to them directly on their sites. It’s always worth a look.
If you can handle taking a risk on a late booking, you might also think about looking for last minute travel deals. You may not have the ideal selection of places to go, but there are luxury resorts all over the world – so it may end up that your best options are in places you may not have considered before.
