Liberia, Costa Rica has an identity problem. When most people think of Liberia, they probably think of that other one. You know, the war-torn country in Africa that was founded by former American slaves.
The Liberia in Costa Rica is far different from its African namesake. For one thing, it is near some spectacular beaches. For another, it is a great jumping off point for Costa Rica’s finest national parks including Rincon de la Vieja and Santa Rosa.
